Materials:

  • newspaper/cardboard

  • Coloured paper

  • Markers

  • Plastic bottle (500ml)

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • Tape

Steps:

Step 1: Find an old/unused t-shirt and get a marker of a contrasting colour to draw guiding lines on your shirt.

Step 2: If your shirt has sleeves on it, draw lines on the two shoulder parts as guiding lines and cut it off for both sides. Your result should be like the below picture.

Step 3: Draw a line horizontal to the shirt below the collar and cut it out

Step 4:

At the sleeve area, leave out some space for the sleeves then tie two knots on each side to make the handle of the bag.

4.1: Leave some space out

4.2: Starting to tie first knot

4.3: Double knots

Step 5:

At the bottom of your shirt (between 6 & 7) refer to the picture below, draw a horizontal line from one edge to another then put one finger-spacing vertically upwards as many as you want, and cut as many strips as possible.

Step 6:

When you have cut out the strips at the bottom, tie the knots for each two strips.

Step 7:

Once, you are done tying the knots for all the strips, flip over the bag inside-out and you’re done
